Though they have MONEY, CARS, JEWELRY and “The Life”, Jesse Williams speech shows how weak, emasculated, and castrated most of the “thugs” and moguls attending the BET Awards are.
In just under 5 minutes, Jesse courageously “OUT-GANGSTERED” every so called gangster in attendance. He did so by addressing a number of core issues that we as Alpha Males, Fathers, Role-Models, and Alpha Males in-training need to consider while living in an oppressive society.
Being a “Gangster” doesn’t mean violence. Gangster means Sacrifice.
Sacrificing yourself for something bigger than you– your family, your woman, your race, your culture, or your community. We’ve been wrongly programmed into believing that being a gangsta means exuding negative and brash behavior, but nothing can be far more from the truth.
Being a gangsta is founded upon living positive success principles and standing upon a code of honor.
And one of the codes is speaking up and saying what needs to be said even if your truth attracts adversity.
For real Gangster’s, adversity is simply another day in the office. We live for that shit! We love to compete no matter if its a deep heated discussion, out-witting a rival male for a woman, or putting up our fist and having a good clean fight.
The fact is this, most of the Men in that room, no matter favorite rapper or not, are not willing to say what needs to be said, because they don’t want to face adversity. They don’t want to sacrifice, or risk financial loss. But in an instant they will shout loud on a record or mix tape how “bitches aint shit” and how they “gonna kill a nigga”. All of their aggression, energy, and focus is aimed against their own—the people. Essentially doing the job of their overseers and oppressors for them. When it would be far more beneficial for these Men if their energy and focus was aimed at leveling up their life. Personal Development. ACCUMULATING SKILLS & PRINCIPLES!
This is the reason Alpha Males (have) and Alpha’s in-training (need to have) multiple skills and hustles that can provide for them and their family regardless of the corporate job who is padding their pockets. The word “Alpha Male” and “dependency” dont mix. So let me give you a principle that I learned from an O.G. growing up.
I call this the “1 foot in, 1 foot out” Principle. It means this: If the Alpha Male works a job, Every Alpha Male needs to have one foot in (on the job) and one foot out (off the job=personal development, skills, trades, side-hustles). Got it? Good!
Alpha’s, for the sake of your family and your community, start focusing on you so that you can move how you wanna move. Start leveling up your life today.
